I’ve always been curious to check out the Rosie the Riveter’s Museum but I’ve always hesitated because it’s in… Richmond.

But after living in the Bay Area for 16 years, I decided it’s finally time to see what Richmond is like for myself once and for all. But before it gets dark (still gotta be smart).

My day got a late start though because I had to wait for my princess to finish getting groomed first.

Then I hopped on the BART with my bike and headed to the last stop on the red line, Richmond

After arriving, I rode down the bike trail towards the marina, and made a pitstop at Snapper’s Seafood Restaurant for some soul food to go.

📍Snapper’s Seafood Restaurant (1501 Ohio Ave, Richmond, CA)

When I got to the Richmond Marina, I was completely shocked by how lovely it is!

📍Marina Bay Park

I soaked in the stunning views and wished I had more time to wander around before heading to the museum.

📍Rosie the Riveter National Historical Park (1414 Harbour Way S, Richmond, CA)

I arrived before it closed at 5 and learned a lot about Richmond’s once-thriving shipyard industry during world war 2. Most importantly, I got the iconic selfie taken. Yay! Mission accomplished!

I was starving after so I found a spot to finally enjoy my fried snapper meal. It was just what I needed to refuel for the second half of my journey.

There’s still a whole other peninsula in Richmond for me to explore before it gets dark…
