How To Replace Heating Element And Teflon Tape On Heat Sealer

We walk you through step by step how to take off the Teflon tape and heating element, screws and all, then replace them with the new ones.

#1 Press down on the heating bar to remove the safety hatch
#2 Loosen the 3 screws that hold down the metal plate
#3 Set the metal plate aside
#4 Remove the 3 screws on the opposite side of the Teflon tape
#5 Set the metal plate aside and remove the old Teflon tape
#6 Loosen the black covers on either end of the heating element
#7 Set aside the covers and remove the old heating element
#8 Use the screwdriver to push inward and release the heating element
#9 Use the screwdriver to push inward and attach the new heating element
#10 Reattach the black covers on either side
#11 Place your new strip of teflon over the heating element
#12 Realign both sets of metal plates, and retighten all 6 screws firmly
