I’ve avoided this road in the Yorkshire Dales for years… and today, on my [Your Bike Model], I accidentally ended up at the bottom of it. Cue panic, stubborn refusal, and a bit of a meltdown. But with a little encouragement (and a lot of nerves), I faced one of my biggest biking fears.
This was the steep, narrow, twisty climb from Hawes to Tan Hill Inn — a challenging motorcycle road in northern England. Just thinking about this road used to break my nerve. Did I make it?
Well… not gracefully, but I did.
