Mission and service are both the heart of Christian education. Christian education is fundamentally missional as it emphasizes that we learn not only just for ourselves and our own benefit, but also to share our knowledge, to serve, and to be a blessing for others.
Every year, Sekolah Pelita Harapan sends the Senior School students to different areas to participate in the Mission Service Learning (MSL). MSL is an important part of our curriculum and we really value these missional trips.
This year, we are grateful for the Grade 10 MSL trips to several places in Indonesia, near and far. The students proceeded with 4 different MSL options: Bantar Gebang, Refugee Ministry to various places, Nias, and the new one, Papua.
As we see how our students served others and become a blessing, it turned out that their lives have been blessed much more. We can witness God's work in the students' hearts and their lives were transformed for the better.
We pray that this will continue in the years to come.
