I plugged in my Fishman Triple Play dongle (for wireless use) into my iPhone via the camera connection kit. I use this set up live as well, and I really enjoy it. The variety of guitar tones and tunings from the Variax guitar combined with the MIDI abilities of the Fishman Triple Play, and the amp tones of my Helix (not featured here), is an amazing combination for sound design. The fact that the Triple Play is wireless is a huge plus for me as well. Can this set up sound 100% like a full orchestra used in scoring? No. Can it be used as a fun gimmick and make people wonder how you are playing orchestra parts on a guitar? Yes.
