Описание: We visited the Gol Gumbaz, the vast mausoleum of its 17th-century ruler Mohammed Adil Shah. The mausoleum's unsupported dome is second in size only to St Peter's in Rome, an astounding 38 metres in diameter. We also took a moment to test out the acoustics by standing on opposite sides and whispering into the walls. Before we left Bijapur, we visited the Jami Masjid Mosque and strolled through the bustling daily market. We the boarded our coach and our journey continued to Badami.
