I'll be cooking it up for you guys and taking questions at the end on how to prep.
Sri Lankan Dahl Recipe:
Ingredients:
4 cups water
1 cup red lentils (germinated)
1 inch sliced ginger
1 large cinnamon stick (or 2 small)
1/4 to 1/2 tea turmeric powder
1/2 cup So Delicious coconut milk
1/2 tea fresh ground pepper
himalayan salt (to taste)
1 tea coconut oil
1 tea cumin seeds
Directions:
Add water, lentils, ginger, cinnamon sticks and turmeric to a saucepan stir and bring to boil. Turn down to a simmer.
Turn heat to medium. Add coconut oil to your nonstick pan until melted, then add the cumin seed, stirring/cooking until fragrant (about 30 seconds to 1 minute).
Add coconut milk and pepper to your lentil mixture and stir. Once lentils are done (20-30 minutes), add the salt and sautéed cumin seeds.
Enjoy with a salad or sprouted brown rice!
