In this episode, I reflect on what healing has taught me about myself, my nervous system, and the environments I need in this season of my life.
I used to believe that discomfort meant something was wrong with other people or with me. I would assign blame, attach meaning, or try to change myself to fit into spaces that did not support my peace. Now, I understand discomfort as information.
Healing taught me that the world will not recalibrate itself to support my nervous system. That responsibility belongs to me. Instead of reacting, lashing out, or abandoning myself, I am learning how to stay present, check in, and regulate in real time.
In this episode, I talk about:
• The difference between the old me and the healed me
• How I stopped pathologizing people when I felt uncomfortable
• Learning to allow people to be who they are without casting them away
• Honoring my needs without forcing myself to meet everyone else’s
• Why calm and steady environments are essential for my mental health
• How I recalibrate without guilt or shame
• Redefining luxury as time and peace
This season of my life is about learning who I am and what I need to stay mentally well. Not by controlling others. Not by abandoning myself. But by listening, honoring, and staying grounded.
If this resonates with you, you are not alone.
