Hiking Harding Icefield Trail at Exit Glacier, near Seward and Lowell Point, Alaska. In this hike, Ian was 6 years old and Elena was 9 years old. It was early August. The base temp was probably in the 50's and temps at the peak were around 40F. Trail conditions were good with no ice or snow on the trail below the meadows.
Dogs are not allowed on the trail.
Trail difficulty is moderate and you need to be in good shape and allow a min. of 6 hrs to hike the entire trail, even in good conditions.
Both kids rated the trail of 10 of 10 and said they want to hike it again.
