Abstract:
This talk will provide an overview on how the French research community is assessing new technologies focusing on what has been done on Arm along the last 10 years in the European and National ecosystems to help deploying an Exascale system that matches users' needs as large-scale scientific challenges which would require extreme computing power.
Bio:
Christelle Piechurski is Chief HPC & Quantum Officer at GENCI. She supports French national centers' procurement and acquisition of High-Performance Computing and massive data storage capabilities for academic and industrial open-research, coordinates the technology watch activity at national level to evaluate and assess promising solutions for early adoption by users. Recently, she also took over Quantum activities in the scope of the French Quantum National Plan. She is also engaged at the European level through PRACE-6IP and is member of PRACE Technical Board. She has a postgraduate degree in Physics and has been active in the HPC world for 20 years. Her career started in the oil and gas industry before moving to former SGI (now HPE) and Atos (2011) as an HPC principal architect.
