There are many ways to make a baby happy, including: 
Communicate
Babies love to hear your voice, so talk, sing, and read to them. Respond to their sounds and smiles, and repeat what they say to teach them about taking turns and tone. 
Play
Play with your baby, and encourage them to reach for safe objects. You can also try reading aloud to them, as they enjoy hearing your voice. 
Touch
Physical closeness is soothing for babies, so cuddle, hug, and kiss them. You can also try skin-to-skin contact, like holding your baby to your belly while bottle feeding. 
Massage
A massage can help your baby relax and release endorphins, which can make them feel happy. 
Be attuned
Be aware of your baby's needs, and respond to them in a warm and loving way. Respect their natural rhythms, and maintain a routine. 
Give them space
Babies may need quiet time, so notice when they seem to need a break from stimulation. If they turn away, close their eyes, or seem fussy, let them rest or cuddle.
