Wh40k Diorama + Epoxy Resin - Tyranids ambush Sherman Russ - screwed up

Описание: This is the final chapter of an amazing journey.

After building the tank I had the feeling that it needs more space to shine. I visited the minature wonderland in Hamburg and decided to build a full diorama around the tank.

I also wanted to try to use expoy resin. Which turned out to be very interessting, but also a little bit tricky to handle. It turns out that I messed it up, as I thought putting it into the sun while drying is a good idea. At the end it got yellow/green instead of brown and clear. Resin is very volnerable and UV light just destroyes the structure. See here    • Alumilite Explains: The Science Behind Yel...   for more details. The first layer which I started to dry over night did not had this issue, so starting at the evening with no sun involved is my key learning from this project.

Bringing all the skills which I have devoloped the last year in one little spot, was so much fun. I hope it can be an inspiration for some people to create your own little warhammer scene. You can learn so much doing so.

The idea was showing an ambush on the tank. A wave of tyranids should emerge from a swamp and make there attack from behind.

I used a lot of great products but also some stuff that I collected during my last holiday, like some wooden coffee stiring sticks.
