Full dress rehearsal in Kargil at Minus 10 degrees for upcoming Republic Day celebration.
According to MeT forecast, Kargil may recieve snowfall on 26 Jan.

Despite the snowfall and temperature being as low as minus 10 degrees in Kargil, full dress rehearsal for the Republic Day celebrations were held at Khree Sultan Choo Sports Stadium, Kargil during which Deputy Commissioner Kargil Vikas Kundal IAS took salute at the march past.
Superintendent of Police Kargil Dr. Vinod Kumar IPS also accompanied him during Full Dress Rehearsal.
The snowfall in Kargil has affected the road transport and daily life in Drass, Batalik, Tai Suru and Chiktan.
Due to the snowfall in Kargil Valley, Rangdum and Parkachik areas, the Srinagar-Leh National Highway and the Kargil Zanskar National Highway have been closed.
For Republic Day Celebration in Kargil district Police arranged similar security arrangements in all places of headquarters for ensuring peaceful and smooth Republic Day celebrations.
