Miss Piggy MUPPETS Doll Cake (how-to)

Описание: This week we are Mixing-It-Up in the kitchen with Miss Piggy! In honor of the MUPPET MOVIE coming out- I thought it would be fun to do a take on the traditional "doll" cake. It's perfect for any celebration or turn her into a different character with all the same tips and tricks I show!

MATERIALS:

What you'll need:

TWO 6-inch rounds
ONE small metal bowl (6-inch at lip of bowl)
Buttercream

Pastry Bag w/ large pastry tip
Serrated knife
Pre-dyed fondants (http://fondarific.com)
Small and large rolling pins
Cornstarch
Vegetable shortening
Gum paste: White and pale pink
Lemon extract
Small Brushes
Luster dusts
Black and blue edible food markers

1) Cut off domes of cakes
2) Stack and fill on a 6-inch round board
3) Chill cake (to make it easier to carve)
4) Sculpt cake and frost (refrigerate)
5) Measure with tape measure and cover with Light Lime green color of fondant (8 ounces)
6) Make torso, head, two ears and two arms out of flesh colored gum paste (4 ounces)
7) Create detail on arms for gloves (set arms aside)
8) Attach body and head to cake with a skewer
9) Indent area for eyes with ball tool, make nose (#804 tip)and indent with veining tool, attach to cake with gum glue and create mouth with veining tool
10) Make eyes using -- Black (#804 tip), White (#12 tip), Pink (#804), Blue (#6) and blue food marker and small black (#4) and a strip of black across the eyelid, lashes with black food marker
11) Add green bodice top
12) Add three lighter lime green dress details using a 3.5-inch fluted cutter and #6 tip for details
13) Make pink ribbon around waist (5 ounces)
14) Make three pink bows with tails
15) Add feather details along bottom of cake using mold
16) Paint gloves with orchid pink luster dust and add arms
17) Add hair using modeling chocolate (1 ounce) and paint with a mixture of candlelight yellow and antique silk
18) Add ears
19) Add Bridesmaid blush to cheeks and mouth
