This Video features a Japanese White Pine that I’ve been training in the traditional Japanese Garden style or Niwak, over the past 7 years.
Often mistaken for Bonsai, these garden trees have similar characteristics, however, they are not usually growing in a “pot”, so not bonsai.
This Japanese White Pine was purchased as one of two 7” seedling, many years ago. I’ve up potted them, every few years and gave them a bend or two early on while their trunks still flexible. This tree is planted at a private residence, the other is potted as a large bonsai.
