The Toll Holden Racing will sport an old look at next week's Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000.

This year's event marks the 20th anniversary since the team won its first race - which just happened to be the 1990 Great Race.

20 years have literally flown by for Australia's most successful V8 Supercar outfit, the Toll Holden Racing Team. In 1990 Allan Grice and Win Percy won the team's first race - the Bathurst 1000.

Since 1990 the Holden Factory squad has at Mount Panorama six times, taken six driver's titles and 194 individual race wins.

Next week's Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 will see the HRT cars turn back the clock to 1990 with a retro livery that includes driver's and team uniforms.

Amongst the fans of the new look are defending Bathurst champions drivers Garth Tander and Will Davison.

After finishing runner-up in last year's title chase, 2010 has been a far tougher year for Davison. But a new look for Bathurst could be the right ingredient to put him back at the front of the pack.

For this year's Great Race new rules don't allow Davison and Tander to team-up in the same car. So extra attention will be on David Reynolds who will share with Davison and Cameron MCConville who will partner Tander.

Tander is the only driver in the field who can finish the year with $2 million in his pocket for winning the Grand Slam of races. He already has the Clipsal 500 title from Adelaide, now he just needs to add Bathurst, the Armor All Gold Coast 600 and the Sydney Telstra 500.
