Turned Sweet Gum Crotch. Made from end grain with live edge long wings wrapped in bark.
A rather difficult wood turning project and a real challenge. I love everything about it. The live edge on the wings and the bark were the limbs met. All made for some very pretty grain.
I called it a Vase for lack of anything else to call it. I guess it might be more of an Art piece.
There will not be water or flowers put in this one.
I would love to have some Eucalyptus to make one out of.
