I call it 'the forbidden carving board', because this freeride board was not designed with carving in mind, but rails better than some dedicated softboot carving boards.
This groomer is actually a connecting cat track. It's quite narrow, so there's little time to change edges and turns need to be fully completed in S-shapes to control the speed.
If you're still learning, this clip might offer some insights.
Hips and chest remain open to the riding direction at all times
Eyes are looking far into the following turn, aiming for the spot of highest angulation right in the fall line
Stable flat base moment in between turns with body going to fully neutral / ready position
Trying to remain shoulders level to the slope not leaning into the turns with the upper body, but bringing the hips to the snow
Let me know what you think. I'm working on explaining this slightly forgotten art of the turn in softboots...
