In this video for Jivey Talks Tech, James tries out a new acquisition, the Icon Pro, a small diaphragm condenser mic from Earthworks. While this mic may have been designed as a podcast/broadcast voiceover mic, it has all the quality and features that engineers look for in a great sounding instrument mic. For this recording James tried the Icon Pro as his Snare drum TOP mic and with no processing at all it sounds great. Take a listen.
