Описание: In Ladakh, the Himalayas rise naked. You catch them here in their birthday suit, stark, rugged and barren. Shorn of their green vestments, they present themselves in their true colors, so to speak. In hues of dark chocolate to ash brown, from purplish grey to sand with a tint of moss green. the tones are as varied as can be imagined. contrasted by the odd lush green patch, farmlands around isolated villages, and the pure white of snow- capped mountain crests. And above , of course, the pure azure sky. Ladakh is magic to even jaded tourists who have seen many shores. And a delight for landscape photographers in search of dramatic terrains. with its mystical Buddhist monasteries, their quaint rituals and mask dances, if offers visitors a cultural experience that has few equals. The best time to visit is between June and mid of October . When the rest of India is drenched by the monsoon, the weather remains largely fine this region beyond the Himalayas, the high mountains keeping the clouds at bay.
