These are the current service rifles of South American countries part:1
Starting off with Colombia, They have adopted the INDUMIL Galil Córdova, chambered in 5.56×45mm NATO, for their fight against drug cartels. This rifle is a licensed copy of the original Israeli Galil. Like the modern Galil ACE variant, the Córdova features Picatinny rails for attachments. Adopted in 2015, the Córdova's deployment remains limited within the Colombian army.
Next up is Brazil, which hands down has one of the coolest-looking service rifles: the IMBEL IA2. Comes in both 7.62×51mm NATO and 5.56×45mm NATO, it's essentially a modernization of the legendary but ageing FN FALs used by the Brazilian military. The IA2 entered service in 2012 after proving its mettle in Brazil's diverse and unique weather conditions, from the Amazon rainforests to the caatinga.
Argentina developed the FARA-83 rifle in the 80s, but the project was abandoned. Now, the IWI ARAD, an AR-15-based rifle is set to replace the Argentine army’s FALs.
Chile has also partnered with Israel to arm itself. in 2014, they adopted the IWI Galil ACE as their standard service rifle replacing their classic Swiss-made SG-510 battle rifles.
