We’re Running Out of Time Before the Cleetus McFarland AWD vs RWD Race…

Описание: The Beater Bomb build is rolling… but the clock is ticking.

With Cleetus McFarland’s AWD vs RWD race getting closer and closer, we’re starting to feel the pressure to get this thing finished. The problem is… there’s still a LOT left to do.

This episode starts off with some absolutely wild weather rolling through Kansas City — tornado warnings, crazy winds, and about the last conditions you’d expect to be building a race car in. But that didn’t stop the progress.

In this video:

I remove the temporary fab Heims from the front struts and install the permanent ones

We run into an issue when the front springs end up being too long after switching to the shorter struts

I move the driver seat back since the engine moved rearward and my feet were basically folded in half before

Brad and I install a Cameron Johnson steering column and get it mocked into place

Right now the column is only tack welded while we make sure everything fits correctly — we’ll finish welding it up and keep pushing forward in the next episode.

The Beater Bomb is coming together piece by piece… but whether we make the Cleetus AWD vs RWD race is another question entirely.
