Heljan 29301 - Class 07 V1 Diesel shunter in Harry Needle livery No.07001 unboxing and overview

Описание: I had a few Heljan. One of them stopped working after a few hours of running and died (first release of the LMS Bayer Garrett, returned to the store). One of them caught fire (Heljan 1361 class, returned to the store and NEVER GOT MY MONEY BACK). One of them is falling appart (Heljan Tango O/2. I can't show it to you as there is too many broken or unglued parts. I would need a person with way more patience than me to restore it.) Suffice to say, why did I got this one? I don't know. It just looked decent and was cheap enough.

The Heljan Class 07 is by far the best Heljan locomotive I ever owned. It is the first locomotive I got from them that actually does what it is supposed to do without any major defect. I understand that's not saying much but look at it! You have a decent looking locomotive with a good livery that runs relatively well. So far, only one hand rail is on the wonk.

On the positive, the windows are really good looking. the cab is decent, the finish is very good! The details are great and there is a lot of well fitted separately fitted parts. Seriously, it looks like it was made by a completely different manufacturer. There is still a few things that I don't like like the way I had to disassemble it to install the DCC decoder. Those handrails are really fragile! and two of the screw in the bottom feel a it loose. They are self tapping and I have the feeling they don't "bite" very well in the chassis.

Overall, I like this model a lot.
