42 YEAR OLD QUAD DASH 7! Air Tindi De Havilland Canada Dash 7 action in Edmonton (YEG / CYEG)

Описание: It is always a wonderful sight to see a 4 engined Dash, especially up close!
Huge thanks to Air Tindi for the invite to see the aircraft up close.

Air Tindi is a regional airline based in Yellowknife, N.W.T. They mainly provide flights to remote regions within the territory using classic prop aircraft like the Twin Otter.
However the gem of the fleet is defiantly the Dash 7, a quad engined turboprop with incredible STOL capabilities.

During the 2023 New Year, Air Tindi was offering special discounted flights between Yellowknife and Edmonton on the Dash 7. Sadly, I was unable to fly it but I was lucky enough to have been invited airside to see this plane up close, huge thanks to them!

Production lasted between 1975-1988 with only 113 Dash 7's were ever built, and 11 of them are registered to Air Tindi however they only 5 of them are active.
They are all Combi aircraft; able to hold both cargo in the front and passengers in the back. The aircraft can hold a maximum of 46 passengers. 1 out of the 5 is actually in full cargo configuration (C-FGOV)
