At 4:14pm on Wednesday April 23rd, emergency services were called to an incident at Shepparton Airport involving a Piper PA-23-250 registration VH-KNY. The aircraft struck the runway upon landing.
Police, Fire & Rescue Victoria and Shepparton Search & Rescue Squad were in attendance, with no injuries reported.
The aircraft was moved from the runway following the securing of the front wheel, and was towed back to the hanger for assessment.
According to publicly available information, the aircraft is locally owned and has been flying from the same airport on a regular basis.
This is the second crashed landing in Shepparton in the past 3 years.
Per all aircraft incidents, an investigation will be conducted by Recreational Aviation Australia.
