Описание: Iran has officially confirmed the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei following coordinated U.S. and Israeli airstrikes in Tehran. A 40-day national mourning period has been declared as crowds gather in grief across cities including Tehran.

The Israeli military says multiple top Iranian security officials were also killed, including senior defence and IRGC leaders.

In retaliation, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claims it has launched extensive missile and drone attacks targeting U.S. bases and Israeli military sites across the region including strikes toward Tel Aviv, U.S. installations in Iraq, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and the UAE.

Explosions were reported for a second consecutive day in Doha and Dubai, while air defence systems were activated across multiple countries.

Under Article 111 of Iran’s Constitution, a temporary leadership council has assumed authority until a new Supreme Leader is appointed.
