If we go beyond 5,000,000 euros, then the materials and prices per m2 will be different.

1) Find a plot.

You can find one from 230,000 euros in the areas of Manilva, Estepona and Mijas.

In Marbella, good plots are from 500,000 euros (I’d say even from 700,000).

If you want a prestigious location and a large plot, then the average prices are from 1,300,000 euros. If we’re looking at the most expensive segment, plots can cost from 3,000,000 euros and more.

Construction time lasts for at least 6 months - a year or more on average.

And of course, before construction, you need to create a project and get a license for construction. The terms are 4 months or more; in Marbella, they are from 1 year.

Building a villa is a difficult process. You need to invest your time in it and control everything.

If you’re not ready for this, the best option for you would be to buy from a developer. This way you’re guaranteed to get:

Price increase;
Minimum time spent on construction control (because it will take a lot of your time);
Minimum investment: usually 30-40% and the rest at the end of the construction.
