The Book of Kells - Iona

Описание: The images are from the famous "Book of Kells". It is Celtic Christian monastic service book containing one of most beautifully illuminated texts of the four gospels that we have preserved from around 800 AD. It now resides in Trinity University in Dublin where they have it in a museum where one can peek at a page per week through glass... if they're lucky. I thought it a shame that it isn't more readily shared to the world, thus this video.

The music is that of a band called Iona from their album called "The Book of Kells". The entire album ponders beauty, light, love and of course the good news (Gospel) of Jesus Christ found in the Book of Kells. Here are the lyrics to the opening theme that is on the video.
