As per Metroid tradition, Metroid Prime contains a timed escape sequence, and this one happens to be at the end of the game's tutorial Frigate Orpheon section. It is incredibly easy to escape the ship well before the timer runs out, so what happens if we sit around and wait for it to explode?
As it turns out, not much.
I spent like 1 minute on that thumbnail. :P
