The Great Wall, from Awaken Realms, was a game I was kind of expecting not to like. I backed it...it looked cool...and I figured I could sell it if I didn't want it.....but it's actually fairly solid. As in I want to keep playing it, the tableau building in this game is incredibly rewarding, giving you tons of ways to level up your engine in The Great Wall. I have complaints, the game does let me know in a variety of smaller ways, but overall I'm really enjoying The Great Wall, it's a pleasant surprise.
