Chicane on Sywell Road causing head on collisions every few seconds. Who NNC thinks is OK. Idiots

When a new roundabout was built to the new Prologis park warehouses at the end of Park farm industrial estate the main Sywell road was closed and then when it was opened this Chicane was there.
I put in a complaint on fixmystreet.com/report/6050475 you can see the complaint and the reply : From the reply it tells me that NCC are bonkers if they just wanted to slow traffic down so vehicles can get in and out of the Old Grammarians Club why not just up a speed camera? because sooner or later someone is going to end up seriously injured in a head on collision.

• Investigation: Completed (No Action Necessary) - Thank you for making your report, it has been passed to our Community Liaison for investigation.
I can confirm that the double chicanes that are in place meet standard requirements and we will not be considering a change at this time.
The chicanes have been installed and left in place to help elevate the problem of motorists using Sywell Roads 40mph speed limit inappropriately which has been the case before they were instated. This is hoped to also protect the entrance to the Old Grammarians as it requires people to slow, allowing motorists to pull out easier onto Sywell Road.
