Singing Raga Bhairavi with my LA based Global music band Layakari - Layakari is a four-piece band of musicians born in different countries, united by a shared love for Indian classical music. Rooted in traditional Hindustani vocals and sitar, our sound weaves together guitar, bass, and drums, creating a vibrant mosaic of melody, rhythm, and cross-cultural expression.
We create music that follow the strict structure and syntax of traditional Hindustani Classical music of India while combining elements of western music- bringing attention and awareness to culturally diverse music that connects us all.
