OVITOTO, 06 FEB (NAMPA) – Fourteen heads of cattle were recovered on Thursday by the Namibian
Police Force (NamPol) after they were stolen from a farm in the Ovitoto area.
NamPol’s Omaheke Stock Theft Unit and Omitara Criminal Investigation Unit led
investigations that resulted in the recovery of the stolen animals.
Two suspects were apprehended.
NamPol Regional Commander for the Omaheke Region, Commissioner Josephat Abel
confirmed the incident to Nampa Sunday, saying the suspects are expected to appear
in the Gobabis Magistrate’s Court this week.
He noted that two more suspects are still at large, but their identities are known
to the police.
