In this latest installment of the I Am Horse Racing and MyRacehorse partnership, we meet Cee Jay Harris of Silver Springs Farm in Lexington, Ky. Cee Jay is a KEMI intern stationed at Silver Springs, where many of the MyRacehorse yearlings are broken as yearlings. The Kentucky Equine Management Internship (KEMI) is a program that gives college students the opportunity to pursue a career in the field of equine management with hands-on experience working on Thoroughbred farms.
Cee Jay has a ranching background, but as she gains experience in the handling of Thoroughbreds, she has become integral in working with all of our horses who come through the Silver Springs program. Cee Jay’s gentle nature and patience with the yearlings makes her a natural in assisting with the breaking process.
