What is it really like riding the Peru Great Divide?
When people think about motorcycle travel in Peru, they picture wild off-road tracks, remote Andean landscapes, and high-altitude mountain passes above 5,000 metres. And yes..... those days exist.
But this episode shows the other side of adventure riding.
Not every day on the Peru Great Divide is epic. Some days are about survival. About logistics. About finding the basics that make overland motorcycle travel possible — fuel, clean water, working ATMs, and somewhere to sleep before dark.
Out here in remote Peru, nothing is guaranteed. Small towns are few and far between. Fuel stations run dry. ATMs don’t work. Accommodation isn’t always waiting for you.
These are the in-between days of overland travel... the ones that don’t always look dramatic on camera, but quietly shape the entire journey.
This is the reality of riding the Peru Great Divide.
