Dr. Brown posed an interesting question to me. Essentially what is the "sweetspot" for the fingerstylist?
Well, I prefer my smaller guitars for paying fingerstyle ad my larger ones for flat picking but, I'd suggest that the key aspects to consider are the dimensions of fretboard and neck. Firstly no one size/shape fits all. Our wonderfully designed hands are remarkably adaptable and everyone has their own preferences.
Aspects to consider are :
1. the scale length.
2. The nut width.
3. The string spacing.
4. the neck profile
5. the camber of the fretboard.
Whilst most of us can accommodate and adjust to variances, understanding the options can enable you to research and identify what works for you best.
