This sermon is a continuation of our Epiphany Series: Meeting Jesus.
Today's sermon title is : Blessed Because of Him
Over the last few weeks, we’ve kept coming back to the same truth:
This is not about us getting to God.
This is about God coming to us—in Jesus.
The Beatitudes don’t change that. They deepen it.
The Beatitudes are not a measuring stick for your faith.
They are an announcement.
They don’t tell us how to earn the kingdom.
They tell us who Jesus gathers into it.
If you come poor, Jesus gives you the
kingdom.
If you come mourning, He gives you
comfort.
If you come hungry, He gives you Himself.
Because the Christian life does not move from strength to blessing.
It moves from Christ to everything else.
And the same Jesus who sat down to teach His disciples now stands among us to serve us—
• with His Word,
• with His forgiveness,
• with His very body and blood.
So once again, we don’t leave here trying harder.
We leave here held, fed, and blessed.
So don’t try to become blessed.
