Описание: 'They' is from John Howard's 2006 release, 'Same Bed, Different Dreams'. Written originally in 1976, demo'd at that time but never recorded as a finished master, John re-worked the song in 2004.

"I was going through a weird time in 1976. I'd been dropped from CBS and was spending my time playing in London's fashionable eateries like AD8 and Morton's, and then going on to various clubs and discos, staying up to the early hours, eating at all-night restaurants then going to bed during the day. Most of the year is a blur due to what I was ingesting at that time!

"'They' came out of the paranoid state of my mind in 1976, too much of everything led to me feeling very 'out there' and insecure. All what I'd held onto for years had gone (my ambition to make it big) and I was left simply thrashing around trying to have fun and forget.

"This meant one constantly over-indulged, sleeping in most days and going out to work and play by evening. It was ironic that just a few days after demo'ing 'They' I had my accident at home and broke my back. I always saw that accident as a strange interruption of my lifestyle, one which allowed me to rethink a lot of things." - JH
