Описание: “Back in 2019, my friends & I got an invite for a family day at sea through our Navy friends; we happily agreed. Once there, a man in a naval uniform caught my attention! He had an unmissable charm about him. Fortunately, that guy became our tour guide! And that’s how I met Avinash.
He was sweet, funny & attentive–I kept hoping to talk to him… At the end of the tour, Avinash took us all out for dinner & we hit it off. There was an ease between us & we spoke for hours! As the day closed, we exchanged numbers.
While texting, we become great friends. During that time, I was also seeing rishtas for marriage. I’d tell Avinash of the guys I’d met & he’d tell me about women he’d dated. But we sensed an undeniable connection between us.
We decided to meet; over time, as our friendship grew, so did our spark! 8 months later, at a party, Avinash confessed what we’d both been feeling, ‘I like you!’
I knew Avinash was ‘the one’ & I didn’t want us to delay our happy-ever-after. So, as crazy as it sounds, I popped the question, ‘Will you marry me?’ He replied, ‘I’d love to!’ That’s how it played out!
After, our families met & gave us their blessing. We excitedly began planning our wedding when out of nowhere, COVID happened! We registered for a court marriage, but even that was put on hold.
Funnily, our time together during the lockdown felt like our honeymoon! We enjoyed watching movies, cooking each other our favorite meals & doing what we love most–talking!
And then a few months later, we got a call from the court asking us if we still wanted to get married. We once again told each other & the court, ‘Yes!’
But as soon as we became ‘Mr & Mrs’ Avinash had to go away on duty. For months I’d exchange letters with him & each one ended with, ‘Come back soon…home isn’t home without you!’
But this year, a day before my birthday, I got into a fight with Avinash for not being able to come home. And as I put the phone down, I heard a knock on the door!
I couldn’t believe my eyes! It was Avinash–he held a rose in his hand & excitedly told me, ‘Happy birthday my love!’ We hugged & I couldn’t stop crying! It was the best birthday gift ever!”
