The Divine Pursuit
This is the story of how God Pursues YOU.
Abraham → God the Father
Isaac → God the Son
Rebekah → The Church, the Bride
The Servant → The Holy Spirit, sent to call, invite, draw, and bring home the Bride.- 1 Corinthians 15:26
THE FATHER DESIRES A BRIDE FOR HIS SON Genesis 24:1–9
1) Abraham Sends His Servant
“No one can come to me unless the Father draws him.” — John 6:44
2) The Servant Has One Mission
Bring the Bride to the Son.
“He will glorify Me.” — John 16:14
THE SPIRIT WORKS TO REVEAL THE BRIDE - Genesis 24:10–61
R.C. Sproul: “The work of salvation is not a negotiation between God and man; it is a sovereign initiative of divine grace.”
Charles Spurgeon: “Prayer is the slender nerve that moves the muscle of omnipotence.”
THE SERVANT SPEAKS OF THE SON (v. 22–49)
“He will not speak of himself… He will glorify me.” (John 16:13–14)
If a “spiritual experience” does not lead you to love Jesus more — It was not the Holy Spirit.
THE BRIDE SAYS YES (v. 50–61)
Just as we love Jesus, whom we have not yet seen (1 Peter 1:8).
Faith is not merely believing in God.
Faith is leaving everything to belong to Him.
THE BRIDE MEETS THE SON (v. 62–67)
A love story where God gets His Bride.
