When she stepped into the Agra Bear Rescue Facility, we knew right then that her first experience here had to be a delight. A way of telling her: this place is different. That she’s safe. That she’s cared for. We started gently, with food.A plate of chopped fruits, offered without expectation. We noticed that she's fond of the apples, our caregivers happily brought her another serving, and she loved it!Lissy has a history of abuse, it's moments like these which still gives us hope that, with effort, we can tend to all her wounds, physical, and emotional.
