While I had the hood off to change the battery, I figured I might as well take a look at what was on the PCB. I also discovered that the Microwave will refuse to receive MIDI data (the MIDI LED won't even light up) if it's set to a patch it thinks is corrupted.
0:00 - Patches garbled
0:30 - Opening it up
0:57 - PCB tour
3:48 - Service mode tests
7:36 - No MIDI response
8:10 - MIDI is back!
9:20 - Reloading factory patches
