Qure.ai presents - Project Khumbu, a ten-day expedition from Kathmandu to Mt Everest Base Camp by Team Qure.ai, MinxRay and Dr Saurabh Jha from the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. The trek uphill to the Everest Base Camp and Everest ER with an AI-enabled handheld X-ray machine.
The team tested for COPD and other pulmonary illnesses in sherpa communities of Nepal along the way. As a result, the team got a chance to understand the fragmented healthcare delivery systems, especially in remote locations and seize the potential of AI in diagnostic radiology.
