Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov spoke in Moscow following talks with Swiss Chairperson Ignazio Cassis and OSCE Secretary General Feridun Sinirlioglu, addressing the crisis in the OSCE and ongoing Ukraine conflict.
Lavrov claimed that NATO and Western nations are using the OSCE to wage a hybrid war against Russia and criticized the West for blocking peace negotiations, despite Russia’s longstanding proposals for security guarantees in Ukraine.
He emphasized the principle of indivisible security, warning against NATO expansion and the deployment of military bases near Russia, and highlighted Russia’s cooperation with China, BRICS, and the SCO to promote a multipolar security architecture.
The Russian Foreign Minister also accused Western media and OSCE institutions of bias, failing to address historical grievances, and ignoring alleged violations against Russian minorities and cultural heritage.
