Facebook removed pro-Congress fake accounts, 'delayed' action on BJP MP-linked one: US whistleblower

A former Facebook data scientist based in the US Sophie Zhang told ThePrint's Regina Mihindukulasuriya about her time at the social media company and how she discovered four networks of fake accounts set up to promote politicians — two supporting Congress and two BJP. The whistleblower has claimed the social media platform took prompt action against the former, but 'delayed' its response to one of the latter pro-BJP networks linked to a BJP MP.
Facebook has rejected claims made by Zhang, saying 'combatting coordinated inauthentic behavior is our priority'.
