John Eccles' "The Mad Lover Suite" is a Baroque orchestral work derived from his incidental music for the play "The Mad Lover", a tragicomedy by John Fletcher. Eccles composed the music around 1697, during his time as Master of the King’s Musick and a leading figure in English theater music.
