The Best Buddies Friends Choir is the only choir of its kind in the world, and the members do more than make music, they make friendships that last a lifetime. It is an entirely inclusive choir for adults with and without intellectual and/or developmental disabilities which, similarly to Best Buddies International, aims to create lasting and meaning friendships while simultaneously communicating the importance of inclusion and acceptance. Founded and led by Miami University student, Tanner McClellan, the Best Buddies Friends Choir of Miami University is changing the meaning of music.
Tanner McClellan is a junior studying Kinesiology & Health and minoring in Special Education. During her freshman year at Miami University, she created the Best Buddies Friends Choir. The Best Buddies Friends Choir is the only one of it’s kind in the Country, and it is an entirely inclusive choir for adults with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities.
