Known affectionately as “The Del,” the historic beachfront hotel sits in Coronado, California, just across San Diego Bay from downtown San Diego. A rare and remarkable surviving example of the American wooden Victorian beach resort architectural style, the hotel was designated a California Historical Landmark in 1970 and a National Historic Landmark in 1977. Over the decades, it has welcomed presidents, royalty, and countless celebrities, while also serving as the backdrop for numerous films and books. Its rich history, timeless elegance, and iconic coastal setting continue to make every visit memorable.
