I biked the Shimanami Kaido with my bestie over 2 days. We arrived in Onomichi the night before to rest up, then set off early the next morning.
Over the course of nearly 50 miles, we crossed island after island—bridge by bridge—taking in the breathtaking views of the Seto Inland Sea, quiet coastal towns, and endless stretches of blue. It was challenging, peaceful, and easily one of the most memorable rides I’ve ever done. 🚲
