As we about to step in 2026, just want to highlight that these SMRT Citaro buses have only two years left to live as since only 49 active passenger buses exist with SMB136C and SMB141L being converted into Training Buses. After SMB136C gets de-registered on 7 March 2027, the rest will follow retirement starting with SMB139U and SMB140P on 10 March 2028 then rapidly be phased out until SMB178U on 29 Novenber 2028. These SMRT Citaros are rather unique in being known as Southeast Asia's 1st 100% Low-Floor Euro V Bus as well as having the dot-matrix display that shows the next bus stop name although the announcements were added later on.
